according to the social psychologists, there are 3 parts to the self.
self concept.
interpersonal self.
agent self.
self concept which seeks self knowledge. leading to the need for self enhancement.
the interpersonal self for socialising.
then the agent self for taking actions.
how nicely divided.
anw, i will try to exercise more self control and use my superego to subdue the id. nature says go. but culture says stop!!!
