Sunny days & Starry nights ... Friday, January 07, 2011
somehow, this vacation is coming to an end, and having quite blindly and perhaps brainlessly breezed thru' the last 3 weeks ( wow it has actyl been 3 weeks already) since my parents returned from chiangmai and my cousins from shanghai, it finally dawned on me that ... the period of rampant indulgence is over. before i allow my vacation to go off in just a *poof*, I would like to capture some moments down here and right now. it's a pity how little our memory can collect and how things that once mattered can be reduced to nought in the very next minute/or more realistically, day. ... not unless you note them down, and digest the little details bit by bit.
.
so...
the first 2 weeks of my vacation was spent at seoul and the 3rd at having a deal of personal time spent exploring on my own, where my fav friends were still having their examinations and abroad. ( it has actyl be THREE WEEKS ! )
come the 4th and 5th, spent with the sui cousins and family, hanging out at east coast cycling, having x'mas parties, new year parties etc. That's the end of December where all things were thrown in and people just celebrate with their hairs down.
Ultimately, yes, it's this week, the 6th and the very last of the vacation.
.
I'm still in awe at how quickly my six weeks had gone by, and how distant the fun all seemed now. Very quickly, my 4th semester in school will come in bigger bouts and before we all know , yes again, it will be the recess week, where everyone is grasping around with deadlines and mid-terms. By then, the same amount of time from the start of this vacation till now would have passed. Amazing, isn't it ?
.
it's this continuous conveyor belt of time moving you from one phase to another and if nothing is done to live them right and proper, you probably won't know how you got to where you got and the many thigns littered along the way. How true it is to say, it is not the destination that counts. Because, you will get to the same time pit over and over again, like how the end of the year comes without fail just to signal the start of another year and again and again. Therefore, you will never regret if you were to live in the very moment; stop yearning for the holidays to come, stop lamenting about how draining the school term is, stop complaining about the pile of work... live in the moment. find that bit of fun & meaning in what you are doing. enjoy life. as it is.
.
on a sidenote, t'was a relaxing and carefree vacation. just so because i had nothing planned and yi tian shi yi tian.
& Lazy afternoons ...
