false optimisim

can be killing. false optimisim, in other words, is like living in a vacuum-ed sphere and going up in a bubble only waiting to be pop-ed. false optimisim will not prepare you for unforeseen circumstances and it brings you so high up into the sky only to have you fall hard on the ground later. I do not like false optimism, but i wouldn't want to like pessimism either.

pessimism prepares you for things that may go wrong and buffers you from the emotional backlash that comes with optimisim, but pessimism takes away happiness, and i do not like that at all.

how do i stay optimistic without being pessimistic and yet with a dose of reality?
