A Reflection
transitional post-As
.
as my bags are packed & a goodbye decked,
i hope there's nth lagged and worth a nag.
with a nod & an absolute dive,
i bid farewell to a gypsy's life.
may this newfound spring fill the air,
with all that i really care.

love will find a way.
(1) Celebration of the culmination of an academic milestone
November20 brought endless cheers as it signals the end to all the sweat&hard work. Finally, 12 years of formal education has come to an end and the rigour of academia has reached a completion. As i retract through my memories to the moment where i first step afoot the arena of books, uniform, school rules&classroom teaching, i feel an immense sense of pride & satisfaction. Pride from having performed my best throughout the education path laid out for me, satisfaction from having gone through each major dipsticking with laudable results. In all humility i am proud of and contented with how far i've come. It hasn't been easy growing up, especially during the teenage years, but at the very least, i made it ;)
(2)My first offiicial paycheck as a teaching intern
Through january, february, till 13march 2009, my eyes were opened to a brand new world. I would recall those days most fondly, as i had the chance to assimilate into an environment full of friendship, love, warmth&everything nice. I amazed myself with what i am capable of doing, and how great a person i can be. Even though there were minor hiccups and obstacles along the way, they provided the necessary training to help me mature and realise more in life. Those 3 months i will never forget, those people i am eternally grateful to have met.
(3) 3-week getaway to Japan
a luxury which i am blessed with. The trip was a perfect respite from the hussle and bustle of working life and it gave me a chance to explore a beautiful part of the world. Most importantly, the myraid of things i was exposed to and the pretty memories that were formed can never be found anywhere else. I love the spread of food i had the chance to savour , and the places i got to go all the more.
(4)2nd work experience at a child care centre
although i could have chosen to return to the place of comfort i had been working at, i made another decision. This is a decision i regretted making in the first place, but which had been proven to be worth the while. During my stint, i understood the operations of an earlychildhoodeducation, & got accustomed to a less glamourous working environment. I heard a fair share of stories of the not so fortunate, families of abuse&violence, the poor, the dysfunct, and the troubled, but all these cannot be more essential. I'm glad i was put through the deeper waters as i've grown much more determined, with my goals refined.
(5) Outwardbound
a once in a lifetime experience...a steep learning jouney.
(6) the period of driving lessons & laid back days
just in time to re-adjust myself physically and emotionally for a new beginning.
