T'was a meaningful Day
,
.cross my heart, no other morning can be spent as meaningfully as this one. Bringing cheers to the children, showing them what national day means, making all these a beautiful memory ... ;) you'd not believe how much you can do with what little you have. I'm very glad to be able to give this much- the smiles that are reaped from those little faces are enough to make all the hassle worthwhile. Although the entire event wasn't perfect and might very well pale in comparison, it was definitely a good start for all the children in this center. It was apparent that they were all thrilled to be treated to a celebration of this scale and it makes me wonder how much of such occasions have they gotten to enjoy. Like how often do they get their face painted? Curry & bread & jelly & goodie bag? bowling? musical chair? I dare not say the children are grossly underpriveleged, but it was such a heartwarming moment to see them all enjoying themselves on a special day lke this. I truly hope this has brought cheers to all of us who were part of this event & that the little ones have grown a bit more . Let's not forget the joy of giving ! ;)
