The Closure which Melted my Heart
so we were given a piece of instruction, some papers&pens and asked to board the Viking. Then, we each found a spot on the deck and started penning down a letter addressed to our self.

reflect abt your life, personally, professionally & culturally. write at least 3 things you want to achieve and things that are stopping you from achieving it.

,
before we all know it, it was time to disembark and form our circle. in an interesting manner, the order of sharing was determined by the random throwing of a twine ball, which had us all 14 connected by the end. Our happiest & saddest moments- shared.
,

in the most heart-melting manner, A told us solemly that after 4 days of staying together, it was time to go our separate ways. we started not knowing one another but through the numerous challenges, we were linked and bonded with one string.
.
.
.
now, it was time to cut it.
so A started cutting the string,
one by one.

So one by one,
the once taut and connected string-end in our hands went limp.
at the end, we each pulled in whatever string we were left with and were asked to keep it.
i will never forget how it had felt.
and just before we were dispatched to be on our own.
.
A came up with the most heart-wrenching story,
.
of the pencil maker.
"now that i have shaped & made you,
it's time to let you go.
but before i set you free, i want you to remember 5 things
.
you will be able to do many great things, if only you allow yourself to be held in someone's hand
you'll experience a painful sharpening from time to time, but you will need it to become a better pencil.
.
you leave a mark on whatever you write on
.
but you always have the eraser on the opposite end to correct it
.
the most impt part of you will always be what's inside. "
.
that really moved me.
lastly, A said,
Now, take this moment to thank whoever that has helped you during this journey,
and apologise to those whom you have shown the attitude to.
Thank you Andyyy for being our Pencil Maker, sharpening us time and time again with your wonders. I promise there will never be another moment where i should fail to make my mark.
