Up to Where the Animals Reside...
N . A . S . U
Oh yeah, i'm finally back from Nasu! It was Zero degree celsius up there, freezing cold and random snow. Heehee... The highland is full of farm and animals, as you can see below.
#ONE: Alpaca
front view
Side View

From what i learn, Alpacas are gentle, inquisitive and observant. They're a species of South American Camelid , domesticated for thousand of years, also one of the most valuable fiber-bearing animals. Apparently, there was a recent hoo-ha about them in Japan and the Alpaca Farm i went to started charging 800 Yen for a single entrance. That's equivalent to ... 12 sing dollars i guess. Honestly, it was overcharged, but after seeing the pasture of Alpacas they have, it was almost worth it. Just to side track a lil' , no matter how cute everyone around me thinks the Alpaca is, i find it very ugly. I think it's because of the inproportionate body they have, long neck-short legs, hah. And their eyes are really huge, with long eye lashes jutting out. Perhaps the cutest part of a Alpaca is the tuff of hair it has in between its ears, and the Y shaped nose i really like. Other than that, it really is a strange looking creature. Oh ya, you can even " walk an Alpaca" around the farm ! Haahaahaa isn't that cute!
#TWO: Sheep, Lamb & Goat

Sheep are ruminant mammals and are raised for fleece, meat and milk. They are prey animals with strong gregarious instinct and lead-follow tendency. An interesting monograph reveals that sheep are just below pigs and on par with cattles in Intelligence Quotient and some even show problem-solving abilities. Wow to that ! The farm that i went to has a whole flock of cute lil' lambs, but they really stink like mutton. In the first picture you see two siblings with colour the extreme of the spectrum, black & white. I've been observing them and realise that they're really inseparable; they suckle, run, walk & bleat together, hahaha... The second picture shows the weirdest looking lamb in the farm, but i like how it looks. It's really gentle and docile as it allows me to pat it whichever way. I spent most of my time playing with it..Goats are extremely curious and intelligent and a breed of it produces long, curly luscious lock of mohair. They are the oldest domesticated animals and have been used for their milk, meat , hair and skins over much of the world. The kid in the last picture is bleating away with a very nasty voice when i took that shot, hee...anyway i don't really fancy sheep and goats, don't find them especially cute. When you walk in with a cup of food, they literally flock to you; now that's not very nice.. #THREE : Fish
first, you put in the bait and wait for a greedy fish to succumb ...
then, you roast it for a good twenty minutes infront of the oven after rolling it in salt...
and, you get to enjoy crispy, fresh, salty fish right from the lake!
I must say those fish taste really good; i've never had fish this fresh and tasty. But i hate how cruel it is to fish for a fish and send it to be killed . It's pretty sad to see those fish in the bucket gasping for air. The next thing you see, they're food on your plate.
#FOUR Dog

Dogs are, and have always been, my favourite animal ;) They are known to be extremely loyal and the best pets around. The first dog is Ren San Lang, very very friendly and furry. The second one is very endearing too. Dogs are the only creatures that i feel a connection to when i look at them, it's like telepathy, yeahh...! and of cos, the bestest best dog is MOMO DARCY, who is missing me at home now.
# FIVE Guinea Pigs
see those guinea pigs? They're really cute, like balls of fur in various hues. They have poor sense of sight, but well-developed sense of smell, hearing and touch. Interestingly, they can learn complex paths to food, and can remember them accurately for months. Hee i didn't know that!
Lastly, Randomness

I've had 3 soft serves in Nasu, they're so so good! The first one was from this dairy farm , and the ice cream was so fresh ;) Smooth and just so deliciously yummy. I think it's the best soft serve. The second one was matcha , so was the third. They're both good ice cream to have, gives you the perk for the day. Oh yeah and i went to nasu highland park and rode on the scariest roller coaster ever all on my own! i'm so proud of myself, heehee... It was so cold and so fast that i could hear the wind passing me, and the roller coaster went up and down up and down at a super crazy speed.... Woaahh... come to think of it i'm amazed i survived. Hmm... yesyes the ferris wheel! It's really beautiful ;) I feel a certain something for ferris wheels after watching this hk drama . Alright guess my language competency is taking a dip, shall end off here. NIGHT!
