Our "Farewell" Outing to Sunny&Shawn,
who will be off to tekong in a day or two...

Time flew, time flies & time keeps flying...! Cliched, but there's no other phrase that fully depicts the situation now. We've been friends for 4 years; we were classmates in a nondescript school 2 years back, we graduated in 2006, we shed some tears, we sang the school song for the last time, we did whatever a farewell assembly called for... And now, we have graduated again! I would say it's terribly a pleasure to have one another even at this juncture. Although some people were lost along the way, the ones who were left have left an indelible mark in my life so far. The familarity & the salient bond that stood out when contrasted with new ones made are very special and precious indeed. It's just feels different....Thinking it through, i believe i've matured quite a bit over the years. Unwittingly, one will grow wiser & stronger as one is forced to deal with the rotten apples life throws without warning. Personally, i feel as if i've survived a turbulence. As i find comfort in the moonlight & allow time to rewind bit by bit, the recollections that flood back to memory aren't all smiley. I've experienced isolation, incongruence stemming from disparate backgrounds, such helplessness and hopelessness, insecurities, cynism... before i get lost in the cycle of self-pity, let me be appreciative of the less rocky road scattered with sweets&smiles which soon presented itself. It was after all the storm before the calmness, the bitterness before the sweetness, the sweat and labour before the fruits of success... Yes, indeed. No matter how distasteful the beginning was, i can't be more thankful of the friends i've made ( my classmates, my PAWS mates, my SSP & other good souls i've met along the way) , the teachers who visibly went the extra mile for us ( msyangcx esp), the opportunities that the school offered generously ( ocip to chiangmai, platform to society via paws, career related stuff etc. ) & others that are still stubbornly rooted to the back of my mind... I would just like to say from the deep bottom of my heart that i haven't regretted the choice i made 2 years back ;) .Back to the present! Life feels really good now, and it just can't get any better than this. Time has been spent to its fullest and this is a very apt moment for the 18 years to meet in a full circle. A full beautiful circle! Think, what have i done wrongly/splendidly, what have i learnt, who have i done injustice/good to, what do i wish i've never done/done, how will i do it differently, what are the things i'm truely appreciative of, what are the things i want to do badly now ...? Of course there'll be some regrets, but regrets will no longer be regrets if we make meanings out of them. There is just one sentence i'd like to quote from Yanwen's Chocoberrynut: .
.
.
"People often do not say what they should
to those whom they mean it most for"
.
.
.
Yes yes how true that is. It's funny how we often do or say exactly the opposite of what our hearts tell us to and end up regretting. Hee...
..Life's a pretty bed of roses.Smell it! ohyes sunny&shawn, take caree!
