Penelope is GOOD! A really whimsical movie , excellent for a momentary escape into the world of fantasy- with happily ever after endings. love it. to the max.

the family curse that left Penelope with the nose of a pig:

The opening is of such chimericality that it grabs your attention instantly. It was based on this ancient-castle- like house and an insane unkempt old maid with a look of vengeance on her face. Something like what you see in A Series Of Unfortunate Events. The story then unfolds in a story-telling manner , drawing you into the imaginary world of Penelope bit by bit.
There were many scenes in the movie worth going gaga about, like this beautiful autumn leaf strewn park with wizened oak trees nicely spaced apart. Adding to the atmosphere was this lonely swing attached to the big O branch with 2 twirled brown ropes and a wooden plank. What i also admired is the magical room of Penelope, which has a very mystic outlook. Lots to wow about, lots to be yearning for. This movie revolves itself with much fresh ideas and offers a twist of humour at appropriate moments.
