Sunny days & Starry nights ... Sunday, July 09, 2006
Ok, here i am, having so much to tell about the WONDROUS Weekend i had! Yesterday can easily pass as the most eventful day of the week, or rather, the HAPPIEST. Let me tell you why.
Around noon, my parents and i went to Takashimaya, hoping to tour the food fair there. But upon seeing the crowd, we decided to lunch at tonkichi instead. I was so delighted that my parents decided on that place! The japanese cuisine there is simply yummy. I had Katsu curry rice that cost a hefty ( relatively) 20 bucks. So when i ate it, i relished every bite. The curry was complimented by an overdose of squared carrots and potatos which i can't resist. So there, a bloated rolly polly. I also managed to steal a bit of my dad's chawamushi and miso katsu and my mum's miso and katsu don. Heeheehee... **Box myself for my greediness. After lunch, it was about 2 plus and my parent's gotta go attend mediation class which they obediently attend every sat. So i went kinokuniya and browsed through the books. I was highly impressed by some inspiring books! Wow, and noticed that it had been a long long time since i connected with books. Since i successfully coaxed a blue note outta my dad, i bought this self enrichment book by andrew matthews, well if you know who he is.
When i was done with the browsing, it was time to meet my sis at marina square. She had gone to donate her blood in the morning and ironically, still seemed so chirpy. Haha... And guess what, she made me go to the body shop, face shop and island shop with her! ( notice the similarities between the
shops?) Being a gal in vogue, she bought a face thingy with bronzing effect, eye liner and a blouse. And me? Well you know. So i pestered her to get some ice cream after i had been such a good companion. YIpee~~ Got milk tea icecream from hokaiddo ice cream shop and sis got sesame flavoured one. Mine tasted so much better for sure. Oh ya, did i mentioned that i slogged with her to zara and other boring stores before she actually agreed to icecream? Boring because none of the clothes she shops for fits me. I know i am not skinny. Then we walked through city link and up raffles place, which was rather dull. Just walked around window shopping and awing at the food i see. :-P
It was about 5 already and momo hasn't gotten his dinner. So we took the mrt home and walked home from aljunied station. Ahh... it was so hot!
After barely a few minutes home, my parents were back andit was time to go grandmere's, momo included. Ok, i love grandmere's place. And for that night, we had MAHJONG and DURIAN. ( yikes!)
See this? Durian's the treasure that lies within. Even momo loves it! 
See this. Our illegal mahjong get together. I hu twice, grandmere x4, and the two chicken cousiees? NONE! or maybe once? haha. We actually had a mahjong lesson with our expert uncle before starting. Only played one feng and so sad, it was time to go home.
YIKESS!!! It's durian in her hands! Honestly, i almost puked when the smell flooded the place.
Yuppies! That's about all for Sat! I will send in another entry for next weekend =)
